The /usr directory is not normally visible. The easiest way to remove them would be to go to the Finder and type Cmd-Shft-G (or go to the "Go" menu and select "Go to Folder…"). This will bring up a window with a text entry field. In the field enter: /usr/local/bin/ and you should be able to find growlnotify in the window that opens. You can then use that window to navigate to /usr/local/share/man/man1/ or you can type Cmd-Shft-G again and enter: /usr/local/share/man/man1/ at which point you can find growlnotify.1 and delete it.
