Excellent. I will pass this info along. What are the chances of a
select several/many windows, using the control or shift opt etc. buttons?
The reason I ask is there may be many windows that could/should be
closed immediately while others need to be 'noticed' first before closing.

I know of one user who has had his 27" screen full of growl messages
and he had to close each one, one at a time before he could move onto
other tasks.
