Hello,

I ran out of disk space on my machine yesterday, and was trying to
figure out why. This didn't help:
-rw-r-xr-x  1 daniel  Daniel    55G Feb  5 15:19 Library/Logs/
growl.log

I consider it a bug that there is no log rollover in Growl.

Contributing factors to a 55 GB growl.log:
- First entry is from 2006
- The machine does not see much use, and so a process (like Squeezebox
Server) that periodically posts a notification combined with "Leave
notifications on screen" means that sometimes I come back and the
screen is full of notifications. I believe this leads to the following
behavior:
The last ~4000 lines of growl.log span Feb 4, 2011 12:01:05 AM till
Feb 4, 2011 12:01:08 AM. I believe 4000 lines of logging for 3 seconds
is excessive. These lines are the following, repeated:
Feb 4, 2011 12:01:05 AM Display frame {{370, 896}, {300, 106}}
intersects used rect {{360, 935}, {320, 126}}; adjusting in secondary
direction

intersects used rect {{360, 819}, {320, 126}}; adjusting in secondary
direction
Feb 4, 2011 12:01:05 AM Display frame {{370, 896}, {300, 106}} is
completely within screen frame {{0, 92}, {1920, 1086}}; adjusting in
primary direction
....
Feb 4, 2011 12:01:08 AM Display frame {{60, 529}, {300, 106}}
intersects used rect {{50, 471}, {320, 126}}; adjusting in secondary
direction
Feb 4, 2011 12:01:08 AM Display frame {{60, 529}, {300, 106}}
intersects used rect {{50, 587}, {320, 126}}; adjusting in secondary
direction
Feb 4, 2011 12:01:08 AM Display frame {{60, 529}, {300, 106}} is
completely within screen frame {{0, 92}, {1920, 1086}}; adjusting in
primary direction

I'm not interested in opening a 55 GB file, especially no free disk
space for swap, so unfortunately I don't know if there's any other
interesting behavior between 2006 and last night.

Thanks!
Dan Jackson
