It seems I had the choice between telling Firefox to Open or to Save the
file to install.  I was clicking on Open and then getting a prompt to choose
an application with which to open.  I subsequently chose Save, downloaded
the file and think I have installed Growl.  I'm going to check system
preferences to see if it's there.  Thanks.
