1. when the preference pane is open to an application in the applications list 2. and a growl notification happens 3. the application that is being configured silently switches to the one on top of the list (in my case, adium) 4. causing confusion and unintentional edits of the settings for the app at the top of the list (in my case, adium) 5. and the user has to click back to the list and back again to the application being originally configured
