1) Growl's website advises me to delay installation of Snow Leopard until Growl can catch up. Because I am a heavy user of iCal, the upgrade there (deadlined May 5) forced me to go to Snow Leopard. So: no more Growl Mail for now. Right?
2) Could the fairly outrageous and insidious MacKeeper people have used Growl to throw up an alert on my screen on restart, to the effect that I have a security problem. I know how they got access to my computer: I trustingly clicked on something that came up during my Snow Leopard installation that took me to MacKeeper. I don't know what they planted in my brain.
