So... turns out growl has become complete invaluable for me! Growl recently stopped popping up notifications for my 2010 MBA. Even in the preference pane, I cannot even choose the preview option.
I have used the uninstaller and disabled notifications on dropbox to prevent an auto reinstall. After a complete reinstall I still cannot be even the previews in pref.pane to work.
