This seems extremely slow for large libraries. Are you sure you're looking at the right solution?
There is this application that is around, I think it's called Music Brainz or something like that. It does music analysis and tagging, which is able to handle libraries of huge sizes. At this time we don't have a way to relay notifications, and so far haven't had someone give us a really good reason for doing so.
