However, unless I missed it, although you mentioned _alternatives_ to GrowlMail 
in
another thread, you didn't mention what they were, or where to find them.  Yes, 
I
can google for
GrowlMail alternative
and find some, but I have no idea which one would come closest to GrowlMail in
notification contents and behavior.  For example, I have a lot of bulk stuff 
like
mailing lists automatically filed, so I have GrowlMail only notify for messages 
going
to my Inbox.

I gather one could come up with a solution using AppleScript (calling 
growlnotify) and
rules, that came quite close in terms of what the notifications could look 
like.  But the
setup would be very different.  And for those of us not familiar with 
AppleScript (or
frustrated getting it to behave as consistently as more traditional programming 
languages),
the more of a headstart, the better.
