I am currently running on my MACBOOK Leopard v 10.6.8 and downloaded Growl & GrowMail. Both of these do not work, as in nothing happens period. As far as GrowlMail is concerned there is absolutely nothing in the preferences, especially not a chevron. I am at a complete loss as to figure out what is happening here.
