This is one of the reasons we're going to be putting Growl (and hopefully) HardwareGrowler into the app store.
So there's a few things here. First, Growl comes on a dmg, or disk image. What I think happened is that you had the disk image mounted, so it's like a virtual cd. You then ran hardwaregrowler from the disk image. Once you cleaned up, you got rid of the disk image, which also got rid of hwgrowler. Think of it this way. If you had ran hwgrowler from a physical cd, and then ejected that cd, you wouldn't expect it to run either. So, you would need to redownload the Growl disk image, or find it in your trash. Then mount the disk image, and copy hardwaregrowler to your mac. However, you're having some weird problem getting to our website?
