Growl doesn't tell you anything; it is not a source of notifications. What
Growl does is display the notifications that are sent to it by the applications
you use.
So, whatever you want to be notified about, you need to use an application that
will notify you about it through Growl. We maintain a list of known
applications that support Growl here:
