Right, so we don't need an update checker anymore. So essentially speaking, when we designed this we didn't want people clicking the update button 40 times and hitting the server more than they had to. Most people don't care as far as I can tell if the button doesn't allow for clicking, but we still allow for it if someone wants to uncheck one checkbox. Honestly it's not a big deal to uncheck it too.
