I'm not sure how this is an issue, since to the OS you are plugging in multiple devices. The hub allows you to distribute your usb port, but the OS has to track each device separately.
Think about it this way. If you removed a single device from that hub, then would you want a notification? I would. Maybe I'm thinking about this the wrong way though, and we're more than open to suggestions for improvement.
