Same issue here. The very first time I installed Growl, I had apps. However, Mail didn't seem to work and I thought maybe I needed to uninstall 1.2.2. So I did that, and now my applications list is gone. I tried manually deleting the library files in Application Support and Preferences, then reinstalling from the App Store, but the list is still empty.
