Unfortunately, I don't know much/enough of where to look for that, but
a fairly rigorous search in various places in Console logs didn't turn
up anything other than one "unknown application" error -- this is on
the receiver MBPro.

I should mention that now I seem unable to get any growl notifications
at all on the target (receiving MBPro) machine... even/including
local. Download complete messages from Opera are not showing up. So
I'm getting no Growls at all here anymore... though it was working
prior to a restart. :S

On the serving machine (a Mac mini Server), Carbon Copy Cloner also
seems to have stopped providing messages even though all the settings
appear normal. Transmission and others are showing up fine. Perhaps
I should uninstall Growl on both machines and try to reset the whole
situation?

In that case (if that is what you advise -- and very many thanks for
your help), I want to make sure I have no vestiges of previously
existing 1.2.2. Is there a way to clear all old Growl data for sure?
