Using OS 10.6.8 and Growl 1.2.2. Growl 1.2.2 notified me that there's
a new version available. Going to the download page, I found that the
newer version (1.3) is not compatible with my OS, which I have no
intention to update. This experience leads to three suggestions:

1. Have Growl check the OS version before suggesting that users
upgrade to a version they can't use. If that was a one-time thing,
fine; otherwise I'll just uninstall it, because it isn't that useful
for me.

2. If you haven't already, incorporate a more automated update
procedure.

3. The "how to report a bug" page at http://growl.info/reportabug.php
seems more like a "how NOT to report a bug" page. It suggests to check
the forums and the FAQ, but has no e-mail address, no form--not even a
link to this group. I suggestion removing the dead end.
