Growl was the perfect STFU-App, that runs in the background and has
every functionality packed in the system preferences. Keep it simple,
no one wants another menu item, because every second app tries to
penetrate the menubar with an own icon. Especially an app like Growl:
It's great, but it is a notification app. Why the heck do one need a
menu item for a notification-app? What's next - a menu item for every
system agent and startup daemon? Please.

Also, tell the people that it costs $1.59 now *before* you let them
uninstall the old version. Just because it smells a little fishy if
you realize that you just uninstalled it and now they want a buck for
obviously the same without telling you. And you need a site with
feedback and comments outside the App-Store.

For now, I'll leave it uninstalled after using it since 2005 or 6. Not
because of the $1.59 but because of another useless menu item.
