Hi Rudy (BTW, my dad and grandfather were named Rudy!) - I did the same thing that Gonzofan did. So, I went into Launchpad and removed it. I did what you suggested, which is to go to the Purchased tab in the App Store - but there's a problem. The Growl listing button says "installed" and is greyed out. I ran Growl Detective and it says I am running Growl version 1.2.2, and HardwareGrowler 1.2.2- tsuna (I loaded that to avoid the HardwareGrowler crash if you bring your computer out of sleep mode).
Can you help me get it reset so I can reinstall Growl? Thanks in advance! --Rocky, aka LotusGeek On Nov 7, 1:50 pm, Rudy Richter <[email protected]> wrote: > John, > > its possible that Growl got installed over the 1.2.x version; I'd > recommend grabbing Growl Version Detective and seeing if this is the > case, it should tell you where the running Growl is > installed.http://growl.info/downloads#generaldownloads > > the remedy is to run the uninstaller and then go to the purchases tab > in the mac app store. you should see growl listed with a button on the > right side offering to install it. > > -rudy > > On Nov 7, 7:57 am, Gonzofan <[email protected]> wrote: > > > > > > > > > OK - so I didn't RTFM.
