sounds like it might have been installed overtop of the previously
installed version.  You'll likely want to run the uninstaller and then
go to your purchases tab in MAS to tell it to install the binary
again.  The Mac App Store installer is a little overzealous in trying
to find previous installs to upgrade so what ends up happening is you
get a bastardized hybrid of the old version and the new version.
