I’m using Growl 1.3.1 running OSX 10.7.2. The Growl application is listed in the Firewall pane (under Security) as one of the apps “automatically allowed to receive incoming connections”. But every time I start my computer, a screen appears asking me: "Do you want the application “Growl.app” to accept incoming network connections? Clicking Deny may limit the application’s behavior. This setting can be changed in the Firewall pane of Security preferences."
I do not ask to get notification from the network under preferences and I am running this only instance of Growl (no prior versions, which were uninstalled with the growls uninstaller script, no growl safari, etc. etc). I can either click on the Allow or Deny, and Growl functions perfectly. Until I have to restart my computer or growl, when the screen pops-up again. I even lunched Growl with the firewall advanced window open, growl was listed there and still the screen showed up again asking me if I want to allow or deny.. I also uninstalled and re-installed (even cleaning the growl folders in Library), with no changes in this annoying behavior. Help and suggestions will be much appreciated!! -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
