So with GVD we do not allow updating app store purchased apps currently out
of concern about the security implications on the file system surrounding
that. We didn't want to risk causing issues with the next upgrade of
whatever application you purchased via the app store. So you are in fact
correct about what applications show that message.

We're looking into it for a later version of GVD.
