The on/off switch is incredibly confusing. It is very hard to tell whether it is on or off. Matt Gemmell has a nice piece about it here (mattgemmell.com/2011/11/01/on-off-switches/). I think the switch he is referring to at the beginning of the article is Growl's, or at least one similar to it. I share many of the frustrations he has.
