Hi,

I'm at v1.3.2 and it seems like the upgrade to 1.3.1 and later to
1.3.2 has not worked cleanly. The symptom I see is that the
notifications cannot be removed prior to their default 5 sec
expiration time, i.e. the little 'x' to click them away does not
appear when I hover over a notification. Also, any changes I make to
the appearance of the notifications do not show any effect. To be
precise: if I click on 'preview' in the preferences dialog then the
changes I make show up. But notifications triggered by monitored
applications do not show my changes.

I've removed and reinstalled a few times now. E.g. following the
instructions on this page

http://growl.info/documentation/growl-package-removal.php

and then installing from the AppStore again. But to no avail. It
almost seems as if Growl is still accessing some old maurauding
information instead of the new configuration or that it at least
cannot access the new configuration and is working off of defaults.
But that seems only to be true for the notifications. The preferences
dialog works OK.

I will not claim that nothing can have gone wrong during one of those
re-installs (although I wouldn't know what). But rather than trying to
diagnose what's wrong now I'd like to get advice on how I cleanly and
completely remove anything which might have been left over and then
install it again so that Growl works properly.

Yes, I have checked the archives to seek a solution and also have
googled but couldn't find anything (other than the Growl removal page
referenced above). Sorry in advance should I have overlooked
something.

Thanks,

Fritz
