After updating to Growl 1.3.2 (Lion 10.7.2) I've had to kill/restart
Growl every day some time twice or three times. According to the
Console (log) it's caused by this error:
---
17/01/12 21.46.45,353 Growl: CoreData: error: (21) I/O error for
database at /Users/pzacho/Library/Application Support/Growl/
notifications.history. SQLite error code:21, 'unable to open database
file'
17/01/12 21.46.45,353 Growl: Core Data: annotation: -executeRequest:
encountered exception = I/O error for database at /Users/pzacho/
Library/Application Support/Growl/notifications.history. SQLite error
code:21, 'unable to open database file' with userInfo = {
NSFilePath = "/Users/pzacho/Library/Application Support/Growl/
notifications.history";
NSSQLiteErrorDomain = 21;
}
17/01/12 21.46.45,353 Growl: Core Data: annotation: -executeRequest:
encountered exception = unable to open database file with userInfo = {
NSFilePath = "/Users/pzacho/Library/Application Support/Growl/
notifications.history";
NSSQLiteErrorDomain = 14;
}
---
This causes Growl to run at 100% CPU (audible as the fans spin up)
while the above log messages repeat when an application is displaying
messages (which is actually shown alright?!) until Growl process is
forcefully terminated. Restarting Growl is back to normal operation.
