What is grayed out? The toolbar items in the preferences/settings
window? That is indeed odd, the reports I have seen are of the bar
being completely hidden, which in 1.3.3 we now try to force to be
visible on launch. Please try the following, quit Growl (if need be,
use Activity Monitor.app), go into your user's library (Open finder,
and click the "Go" menu, press alt, and click on the Library that
appears), go to the Preferences folder in the library, and find
com.Growl.GrowlHelperApp.plist and
com.Growl.GrowlHelperApp.plist.lockfile, and delete them (note, this
will cause Growl to return to default settings). Then, open Disk
Utility.app (found in /Applications/Utilities), and select your Hard
Drive, and do a permissions repair. Then try launching Growl again.
