So I upgraded to Lion 10.7.2 from Snow Leopard. I had an earlier
version of growl (don't recall which exactly) and it was not working,
so I installed 1.3.3. For a while I had both running (I assumed 1.3.3.
would remove prior versions). But finally I have 1.3.3 Growl only. I
am using the Candybar format. Safari version 5.1.2 (but I don't use
Safari).

I use growl to follow Memeo backups. Now I see growl updates but only
for its own plist file. This includes the "roll up" window when my
system goes idle, all growl plist. I have opened Memeo and see it is
operating fine, backing up other files, but they don't show up in the
growl notifications if I close Memeo and let it run in the background.
The growl preferences seem to be updating quite often.

I go to growl preferences and have Memeo Backup and Memeo Lifeagent
set as applications (along with Air Radar, Espionage, Firefox, Growl
Menu, Hardware Monitor, Simplest Notifier Evar, Skype, Stuffit
Expander, Temperature Monitor, TextWrangler Transmission)

When I go to the Growl preferences I often see the spinning beach
ball, which I think is bad and new to this verision. Eventually it
clears and I get to navigate through the preferences.
