I backed up my system disk to another drive (that is always attached) and I noticed the the App store checks all drives not just the system drive. So it always finds my old Applications directory and tells me to update lots of my purchases even though they are updated on my current drive.
So check for another copy of the application on your machine. Cheers Bernie...
