I am with the original post, growl 1.3.3 is no longer working from a sleep mode. In fact it is no longer in the menu bar, and in fact is not running. I have it set up to start Growl at login. I posted earlier, and finally eliminated the old version when I upgraded. But it is not stable like the previous versions. I too am using Lion with a Mac Book Pro. Tonight for example I had to find growl and run it (waking up from sleep). Then I opened the preferences to check that I had enabled start at login. The preference window opens but is stalled, I get the spinning beach ball. This time it even crashed the Growl application.
How far back can we go and have things run better with Lion? Would version 1.3 or 1.3.1, 1.3.2 work better?
