I have this same problem with Growl 1.3.3 on OS X 10.7.3 Usually it occurs within a couple minutes of starting up my MacBook Pro. A couple notifications will partially appear before Growl 'hangs' (spinning beach ball) and then crashes. It works fine after I restart Growl. No "Growl has quit unexpectedly" warning/error message. However, when I open console, there are a TON of crash reports from Growl (at least 20 or so).
