Got free Growl 1.2.2 and was very happy with it on my old Mac Book
Leopard.

Bought Growl 1.3.3 from AppStore,
- installed it on my new Mac PowerBook Pro and it did not work. There
were just no notifications when they should have come.

Quit Growl 1.3.3 renamed the app to Growl133 and
- installed the free Growl 1.2.2 (preference pane) - it still didn't
work. Thought that I didn't remove Growl133 properly and used
AppZapper (v.2.0.1) (Trashed Growl as well as the files in Library
Preferences and Application Support),

- reinstalled from AppStore (Option Click on INSTALL), and - it still
doesn't work.

I also now don't see any Applications in Growl the Preferences
Application Pane as I did before.

So I downloaded Growl Version Detective.app, which found 3 apps
(Dropbox, Skype and TextWrangler) to Upgrade the Framework.

Still no notifications, still no Apps in the Prefs. Application Pane.

What can I do? Thank you very much for any ideas.

Felix
