The queuing displays should be working at the moment, can you try one of the others such as Music Video or Nano? If not, try using a normal display (smoke, bubbles) for the time being. Growl 2.0 (hopefully in beta soon) will be bringing an almost complete rewrite to the displays system, including the queuing displays, and they will work much better than they do presently.
