To add to this, there is no way to charge an upgrade fee on the app store currently, except via 2 methods:
1) An In App Purchase. 2) By pulling your app from being available, and putting a new app out. "My Fun App" -> "My Fun App 2" in this example. Both of these are something we're not currently interested in doing.
