I'm not sure when this issue started, it might have been after the upgrade of Growl in the MAS or update to 10.7.4, but it was around that time. I've set HG to display notifications on the upper left of my screen (the default is upper right). It does this properly for a while, then stops displaying altogether and sometimes displays in bunches on the upper right (including missed past events), or just on the right without delayed bunches. This seems to happen after the computer wakes. I leave my computer on overnight, and frequently put it to sleep during the day. I have disabled "hibernation" where Mac OS X writes memory to disk when the battery is low. I am running 10.7.4 and the latest (June 8th) update to Growl. I am using a default Growl-provided theme. What seems to fix it is launching Growl, but that in itself is acting strangely. It takes three launches of Growl for it to actually display the preferences window. After that, HG performs normally once more.
