Has there been any traction on this bug? Growl crashes on me everyday (see Thierry's crash log). The only reason it's usable is that I usually remember to start it manually. I paid for a program which is barely usable now...
A possible hint to the crashes: I carry my MacBook between home and work. At home, I use the macbook as is, with its screen. At work, I connect to an external screen, keyboard, mouse, drive, USB hub, ethernet. It seems that Growl always crashes when I wake the machine after a transition.
