Perhaps that request is from your Security Prefs Panel. Does the dialog 
suggest you make changes in your Security & Privacy Pref Panel, 
specifically in the "Firewall Options…" section. That's where you list 
apps/processes that can have more or less access to incoming connections.

There should be a third button saying something like "Always Allow" BTW.
