So, the Mozilla group have decided to remove Growl support entirely (I believe it is gone in version 17). They did not consult us on this, or on their reasons for doing so that we might work to improve our product and theirs. We have tried talking to them recently as this came to our attention to hit a stone wall on the topic. I am not sure if the Growl/GNTP plugin by Brian Dunnington will work in Thunderbird or not (it is primarily a Firefox plugin), but if you are using Growl from the app store, it is worth a shot.
