i am developing in Python for a client running OS X 10.6.8 with Growl 1.2.2; i develop on OS X 10.7.5 with Growl 2.0; i would like to write Python code that will notify via Growl in both environments
based on mentions in the Growl version history it appears gntp support was introduced with Growl 1.3; if it works with 1.2.2 i'd love to know (my attempts get "socket.error: [Errno 61] Connection refused" from the register() method) assuming gntp does not work with Growl 1.2.2, is the Apple Events support consistent between 1.2.2 and 2.0 (in other words, do both versions support the same events)? or is there perhaps another way from Python to address either version of Growl? tia -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Growl Discuss" group.
