Make sure you are using the current version of the apps, and check the
settings to see if you need to set them for Growl


Dropbox 1.6.0 is using an older framework 1.2.1  (seen via the growl
version detective from the Growl website) apps need at least 1.2.2 of the
framework, and need 2.0 at least to work right with Growl 2.0 (sandbox
reasons, they will show a notification but the click to go to app will only
work if they use the 2.0 framework)  So it might still not work for
Dropbox until they update the framework they use

Check the apps settings and see if you have to enable the Growl Setting
