This probably isn't relevant to the original poster anymore, but I just ran into this issue with Growl 2.0.1 and thought I should post my solution for people who find this thread. I enabled Growl notifications for both Mail and Calendar in Zimbra Desktop (7.2.1), but it wasn't showing up in the applications list of Growl 2.0.1. I downloaded previous Growl version 1.2.2 and restarted my computer. Zimbra automatically appeared in the applications list in the older version of Growl and the notifications are working now.
