Well, I just installed Growl 2.01. After a frustrating half hour of trying
to configure MailMe, here's some constructive feedback on improving the UI.

It did work *twice*, but the time lag to send email along with the
following leaves me unsure which magic combination of settings actually
worked.

1. When you click Preview, immediately show a confirmation message that
says "Mail was sent" or "Couldn't connect to mail server." Instead, it's a
black hole leaving you to guess whether the login information is wrong,
email is stuck in transit, port settings are wrong or Growl MailMe simply
doesn't work. That's why every other mail program works as requested.

2. What exactly are the three grey port numbers supposed to indicate? Are
they being used by default if nothing else is entered? Or do you always
have to type them in?

I ask because it means guessing every combination of changing nothing,
trying one port or trying several separated by commas. Which is why #1 is
so helpful.

3. Change "Preview" to "Send Test Email". I fully expected to see a popup
with a sample email and send button. Instead, it sits there doing
(apparently) absolutely nothing.

4. How about documentation on the single most confusing setup piece of the
program? Or record a three minute screencast and publish it.

Cheers,
Chris
