Hello, unfortunately, networking between 10.6.8 (which can only run 1.2.x and older), Growl 1.3+ on 10.7+, doesn't work (at least not directly). Growl 1.2.x used a very unreliable protocol that was not cross platform friendly and impossible to diagnose, and when we released 1.3, we included a new, cross platform friendly, debuggable, testable system.
You can look at https://github.com/kfdm/gntp-regrowl as a method for getting a GNTP message from your mini to your iMac, note that it wasn't written by us, but if you run into issues, its author hangs out in our IRC channel (#growl on irc.freenode.net). As another option in 2.1, you will be able to run arbitrary unix scripts with the information from the notification, and it could be used to run a script which supported the older method (or via ssh to a script on the local box, or any other a number of other creative ways of getting it through to the other computer) On Feb 18, 4:35 pm, Lee M <[email protected]> wrote: > I'm a new to Growl.
