Honestly it sounds like MailHub isn't talking to us at all, since its not in our Application's list, it cant be using us to display. They are likely using some internal notification system that is not Mist or Notification Center (neither of those display in the lower right corner). GrowlVersionDetective can only show applications that use the framework, not plugin bundles unfortunately. You can look to see whether it has a Growl.framework and what version it is by going to the ~/Library/Mail/Bundles directory directly and looking inside of the MailHub bundle. Please also check Console.app for any error messages from either Growl or MailHub.
