The README tells you pretty much everything you need to know, but here's the short version: Put my `growlnotify` in your $PATH before `/usr/local/bin/growlnotify` and it will: 1. install the real `growlnotify` if needed 2. open the Mac App Store page to the Growl.app page if Growl.app isn't installed 3. check to make sure Growl.app is running, and launch it if it isn't before trying to send a message to it 4. verify that the actual `growlnotify` exits properly, and if it doesn't, kill and restart `Growl.app` (which has been crashing and/or being non-responsive a lot for me lately). I found it useful, and hoping others might as well.
