Growl 2.1.3, OSX 10.9.5

Growl suddenly stopped working a couple of days ago (prob. after I 
installed parallels), and I tried uninstall (manually deleting all related 
files) and reinstall, fiddle with preferences, even did a fresh OS install! 
Nothing worked.All the apps are displayed under applications in Growl, so I 
guess there is no registration issues, also hardware growl works perfectly 
but somehow growl is not giving any notifications regarding applications.
