I'm not sure if GrowlTunes is still being supported, I can see it was last
updated in 2013, but I'd really appreciate some help with this if anyone's
able.

Whenever I quit iTunes while a song is playing, GrowlTunes forces iTunes to
reopen. This keeps happening so long as GrowlTunes has track info to
display.
It may not sound like a huge problem; just remember to stop playing music
before quitting iTunes, right?
It becomes more of an issue if I go to shutdown the mac, GrowlTunes will
reopen iTunes mid-shutdown. resulting in the system hanging indefinitely on
a black screen. The only way out of that then is to force-shutdown the
machine and risk drive corruption.

Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? It's a relatively new bug.
