I'm after a bit of further information on the concept of GNTP subscriptions. I've read the GNTP specification and, while it explains the technical detail, it's a bit vague on how things would work in reality. My main query is around the notifications coming from the subscribed-to machine - for example: 1. Does it send register packets for individual applications? 2. If not, is the application detail included in the forwarded content? I'd like to be able to filter out only certain notifications received from the subscribed-to machine.
