You have Growl 1.2.x on your system somewhere. Use Growl Version Detective to see what's going on potentially. You're likely going to have to uninstall/stop processes and then go to the app store and download again.
The app store does this thing where it pretends it wants you to repurchase. But if you are logged in with the same account you will not be charged again. It'll make more sense once you try it. We wanted people to report bugs here since this list is searchable by everyone, rather than anything else. We do have a support inbox but frankly the reports we get there are not all that different.
