I'm planning to audit the list of applications which work with Growl in about a month. There are some defunct apps on the list, things like that.
I think Skype removed Growl support at a certain point but I could be entirely wrong. I've done some googling and it looks like the last version of Skype to support Growl was 6.15, which is likely pretty old at this point. I'll play with it though and see if I can come up with a work around.
