It's usually not a good idea, because that means your gRPC library won't be 
using the same code as the rest of the system. If you insist however, there 
are a few EMBED_xxx variables you can use. For forcing the third_party SSL 
library to be built in for instance, you can say EMBED_OPENSSL=true
